Tiger Men's Basketball traveled to Quincy, IL on Tuesday, November 20 for a matchup with the 18th ranked team in the NJCAA DII polls. The Tigers entered the contest at 4-4 and coming off of a controversial loss in the final game of the 2018 Emerson Classic. Meanwhile the Trail Blazers of John Wood were coming off of a blowout loss to Kirkwood Community College and were sitting at 3-2.
While evenly played throughout the majority of the matchup, the Trail Blazers ended up collecting the win 80-71. The Tigers struggled to find points from some of their usual contributors as Juan Coffi and Nick Fleming combined for just eight points. However, the Tigers did receive scoring from Kelton Edwards (22), Goran Vidovic (18) and JJ Foster (13). Vidovic did the bulk of his damage from long range as 12 of his 18 came from distance. The sophomore also led the team in rebounding with six.
The Tigers will travel to Boone, IA on Saturday, November 24 to take on the Des Moines Area Community College Bears. The Bears enter the matchup at 6-2 and receiving votes in the NJCAA DII poll.
