The Marshalltown Community College women's soccer team suffered a tough 8-2 loss to Dakota County Technical College on Saturday, Sept. 7th.
Despite a spirited effort, the Tigers were unable to overcome the strong Dakota County offense. Freshmen, Luisa De Castro Reboredo and Manoella De Carvalho Santos scored the goals for MCC, with De Carvalho Santos's coming from a penalty kick.
Sophomore Goalkeeper Gio De Carvalho Da Silva Damiano made 17 saves during the match, helping to keep the score closer than it could have been.
The Tigers will look to bounce back from this setback as they host their home opener on Friday, September 13th at 3:30 pm against Metropolitan Community College.
