MCC Baseball Players Earn 2026 All-Region Honors
The 2026 Division II All-Region baseball teams were released, showcasing the top performers from across the ICCAC. Marshalltown Community College saw several student-athletes recognized for their exceptional contributions on the diamond during the 2026 campaign.
The 2026 Division II All-Region baseball teams were released, showcasing the top performers from across the ICCAC. Marshalltown Community College saw several student-athletes recognized for their exceptional contributions on the diamond during the 2026 campaign.
Leading the honors for the Tigers, Cooper Fiskwold of St. Francis, MN, was named to the 1st Team All-Region. Fiskwold finished in the top three across eight different categories in conference play. His performance was highlighted by a .590 on-base percentage and 47 runs, both of which ranked second in the league. Additionally, Fiskwold proved to be one of the most dangerous hitters in the conference, ranking third in doubles (11), home runs (13), RBI (45), slugging percentage (1.033), and batting average (.478).
In addition to the first-team honors, two MCC freshmen received All-Region Honorable Mention recognition for their debut seasons. Utility player Anderson Schirm, a native of Pella, IA, was recognized for his versatility and consistent play throughout the year. He is joined by right-handed pitcher Chase Bauer of Anoka, Minnesota, who earned his spot on the list following a strong showing on the mound for the Tigers.
