MCC Men’s Basketball earns All-Region Honors
Marshalltown Community College men’s basketball is proud to announce that four members of the squad received NJCAA DI Iowa Community College Athletic Association (ICCAC) All-Region honors for their performance this season.
Marshalltown Community College men's basketball is proud to announce that four members of the squad received NJCAA DI Iowa Community College Athletic Association (ICCAC) All-Region honors for their performance this season.
Tre'Von Coney and Hassan Bush led the way, both receiving All-Region Second Team honors. Coney, a sophomore from Bettendorf, IA, averaged 12.6 points per game for the Tigers and shot 74.4% from the free-throw line; this marks the second consecutive year Coney has earned Second Team accolades. Bush, a freshman from Lexington, KY, averaged 9.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 44.9% from the field.
Rounding out the All-Region honors with Honorable Mention recognition were freshmen Tom Guma and Tristan Christopher. Guma, a native of Helsinki, Finland, averaged 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Christopher, also from Lexington, KY, provided consistent play for the Tigers, shooting 40.2% from the field and an impressive 78.2% from the free-throw line.
