MCC to host community “Day at the Diamonds”
Marshalltown Community College Athletics invites the community to a “Day at the Diamonds” on Thursday, April 23, for a celebration of Tiger pride and campus collaboration. The festivities kick off at 1 pm with free hamburgers and hotdogs while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to grab a free T-shirt during these pre-game activities on a first-come, first-served basis.
MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College Athletics invites the community to a "Day at the Diamonds" on Thursday, April 23, for a celebration of Tiger pride and campus collaboration. The festivities kick off at 1 pm with free hamburgers and hotdogs while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to grab a free T-shirt during these pre-game activities on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prior to the first pitch, MCC will host a special recognition ceremony to honor the hard work and dedication of those who made recent improvements to the softball field possible. Special honors will be given to the MCC Construction and Powerline programs, as well as Alliant Energy for their essential partnership and contributions to the project.
The games begin at 2 pm as MCC Softball faces Northeast Iowa Community College in a home doubleheader. Admission to all games is free for the public. For those unable to attend the celebration in person, the games will be available via live stream broadcast by the IVCCD Student Broadcasting program on their YouTube channel.
