MCC Softball Earns 2026 All-Region Honors
The Iowa Community College Athletic Association (ICCAC) has released its 2026 Division I Softball All-Region postseason awards, and two members of the Marshalltown Community College Tigers have claimed top honors.
MARSHALLTOWN –– The Iowa Community College Athletic Association (ICCAC) has released its 2026 Division I Softball All-Region postseason awards, and two members of the Marshalltown Community College Tigers have claimed top honors.
Sophomores Meadow Shackelford and Shalei Morn were both named to the All-Region Second Team.
Morn, originally from San Antonio, TX, paced the Tigers' offense all year with an exceptional .414 batting average. Morn wrapped up her sophomore season with 46 hits, including nine doubles, three triples, and a home run.
Shackelford provided steady defense on the dirt and dynamic power in the heart of the Tiger lineup. The Des Moines native turned in a .361 batting average while leading MCC with 23 RBIs. She slugged her way through the ICCAC schedule, collecting 44 hits, eight doubles, two triples, and five home runs.
